Program Note

[ Posted Tuesday, June 11th, 2013 – 22:14 UTC ]

No column today, sorry. Columns will resume tomorrow, but for the next two weeks columns may be infrequent, as the Netroots Nation blogger conference will be taking up a lot of my time. Watch this space for further details as I figure them out, and sorry for the interruptions in service in advance.

Take good notes for me, CW!

Can't make this year due to a friend's wedding.

You will be missed! By me, at least. I'm happy because this is the first one of these shindigs I will not have to fly to enjoy.

    Everyone else -

Here's what I would have written about. The irony is so thick you can slice it with a butter knife:

GOP passes law to prevent public access to gun records, only to find out that the only ones accessing gun records (for their mailing list) is the state GOP.

I also just happened to notice this today as well.

The SCOTUS ruled you can't patent genes ...

    Good for them!

Decision was 9-0 so apparently there are some things which can be agreed upon independent of politics :)

Yeah, that one was a victory for common sense -- a rarity in Washington!
