Felon Trump is going to be running against a strong woman of color who is far more intelligent than he is. Will he choose to focus his campaign on being more sexist than racist; or more racist than sexist? Give him a few weeks of insulting all women and non-whites and Felon Trump is going to have to lure someone else to attempt to assassinate his fat ass so he can have another growth moment.

So you've spent nigh on two years prattling on and on to the electorate regarding the pitfalls of selecting a doddering senescent to lead our nation, and so I cannot stop myself from asking two things:

    (1) What is that saying about being hoisted by your own petard? Rhetorical question (obviously), and

    (2) Who's the old man now!?

    @cw,
I don't think you understand how this is going to play in peoria, so to speak.

I'm pretty good at calling political races, and my dad is even better. 2020 was perhaps the only time I got one over on him, and that's just because Donald self-destructed when he couldn't wish away covid-19. ever since his conviction in New York it seems all the events are tilting trump's way. dad and I agree on this one, and it probably won't be close.

mark my words, Democratic leadership shouldering Biden out of the race right now will backfire with voters, and Donald will be sworn in with a firm majority in both houses of Congress next january. it's going to be a bumpy next four years.

I’m disappointed that Joe is stepping down, because the fundamentals were not changed by his horrible debate last month. Mind you, there’s no way in a million years that Joe should have showed up in that condition. Whoever screwed up it was Joe’s responsibility to do better than that.

Harris has to be the new nominee so to ensure that the $96m in the Bank of Joe doesn’t go to waste.

I still don’t think the fundamentals have changed in Trump’s favor and polling really didn’t change since June. I doubt there are undecideds who’ve concluded Trump got shot at so I think I’m going to vote for him. What policies the Repugs have are unpopular, they can’t govern and now Trump’s whackness will be front and center. I still anticipate a blue tsunami come November.

Absolutely no one had any ability whatsoever to push Biden out. If he'd decided to stay in and lose, he would have stayed in and lost.

Kamala Harris will probably lose too. But she has about a thousand times the likelihood of winning that Biden would have if he had decided to stay in.

To be fair, it's become painfully obvious that Democrats in general (including everyone here) doesn't understand how this is going to play in Peoria..

Democrats have been whining hysterically about how President Trump is going to destroy democracy and then DEMOCRATS turn around and ignore and shit on the 14,465,519 Democrat voters who voted to have Basement Biden be their Democrat nominee..

So, obviously, it's DEMOCRATS who are the grave threat to democracy..

THAT is how this is going to play in Peoria...

On the other hand, Democrats in general (including everyone here) have made it their life's mission to misread the American voter and underestimate President Trump.

    Yep.. Yep.. Yep..

If Democrats had the brains that god gave a garden slug, they would cede the Oval Office and concentrate all their efforts and all their funds on winning the House and keeping the Senate..

But, if this current clusterfrak is any indication...

Democrats don't have the brains that god gave a garden slug...

Here is the best way for President Trump to beat Headboard Harris..

Simply point out that she has been lying to the American people for years..

Headboard Harris kept going on and on about how mentally fit and healthy Basement Biden was..

That was obviously a lie as anyone with more than 2 brain cells to rub together can plainly tell..

Yep... Don't think Headboard Harris is going to be a problem for President Trump... :D

Hell, EVERY Democrat who has been working with Basement Biden has been lying to the American people for years..

Press Sec Jean Claude Damn???? Her credibility is completely and utterly shot... Even more so than it already was...

Today is a great day for America. :D

Yes. President Trump is the old guy in the race..

    So???

Nothing wrong with being old.. My father-in-law is 92 and he is as spry and as smart as the day we met, 43 years ago...

Basement Biden's problem isn't that he is old..

Basement Biden's problem is that he is senile and dementia-riddled. That he couldn't string 3 words together without notes or tele-prompter.. That he couldn't walk from A to B without stumbling and/or falling.

There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with being old...

But Basement Biden was mentally incompetent.. We know this because Basement Biden's own DOJ ***STATED*** this...

So, Democrats... Show at least a SMIDGEN of class, eh??

Cut with the ageist bigotry... K??

Thoughts from a senior citizen :

Age isn't everything, even just in terms of cognition. There are plenty who are 80+ and sharper than Trump. As to wisdom, while there are some wise young heads (who will still benefit from experience), more gain wisdom with age and experience, and some will never be wise at any age.

That said, the latter part of life is very unpredictable and what has been a slow, gentle decline can suddenly, terrifingly accelerate. Biden's doctors and his nearest may have a good idea of the stage he is at; the rest of us don't. The same applies to Trump, for that matter.

Biden might have had recent new medical or family advice or might have re-evaluated the political situation. In any case, he has surely acted in what he believes is the best interest of the country.

I hope he is right. It is encouraging that so far Dems are putting solidarity and the national interest before individual ambition, including a number who would likely make decent presidents.

Thanks, Joe, you exceeded expectations. Enjoy your well-earned retirement.

Has she? Decline is slow. Biden may have just realized he slid too far. Plus if lying was a problem for the American people Trump would not have a chance.

Now we see Demo rats are starting their ageist bigotry attacks on President Trump..

But it's OK when you and Trump do it? Don't like the taste of your own medicine?

Basement Biden's problem is that he is senile and dementia-riddled.

Actually that is your delusion. He has declined too much for the stress of a fall campaign but he is still sharper than Trump. By the way what's up with that sharks/electrocution Hannibal Lecter stuff anyway? A bit weird for the campaign trail, no?

But Basement Biden was mentally incompetent.. We know this because Basement Biden's own DOJ ***STATED*** this...

And Trump's cabinet talked about removing him via the 25th amendment, twice. Sure old folks can be sharp as a tack but your guy isn't one of them.

Beware the young voter. If they get behind Kamala, Trump is toast...

I'm not a Democrat, but I know for a fact that the mayor of Peoria is Dr. Rita Ali so I would wager it'll "play" rather well there. Peoria is, after all, in the State of Illinois and solidly in the column of the Democrats.

Democrats have been whining hysterically about how President Trump is going to destroy democracy and then DEMOCRATS turn around and ignore and shit on the 14,465,519 Democrat voters who voted to have Basement Biden be their Democrat nominee..

Low-information MAGAts seem like they need voting in America explained to them. In the United States, we nominate Party candidates by electing delegates who go to a convention and then cast their vote for the candidate. Any candidate is free to release their delegates until they are the official nominee. Joe Biden releasing his delegates and endorsing Kamala Harris is no different than Nikki Haley endorsing Donald Trump and releasing her delegates and encouraging them to vote for Convicted Felon Donald Trump, except in number only, obviously.

However, low-information MAGAts making this ridiculous argument do have a point about shitting all over millions of voters because that is exactly what Trump and his campaign attempted when they sent illegal forged certificates to the National Archives (tangible evidence) claiming that their losing candidate had received the most votes in multiple states where he absolutely did not and then Trump attempting to cajole his (now former) Vice President into accepting the illegal fake electors and thereby shitting all over voters in multiple states.

So, obviously, it's DEMOCRATS who are the grave threat to democracy..

If low-information MAGAts could have connected the dots to the Trump campaign's admitted fake electors scheme before making this hysterical argument, they could have avoided their practical admission of being "the grave threat to democracy."

THAT is how this is going to play in Peoria...

They are more intelligent in Peoria than MAGAts; we know this because they elected Dr. Rita Ali.

On the other hand, Democrats in general (including everyone here) have made it their life's mission to misread the American voter and underestimate President Trump.

Everyone here isn't a Democrat, and one of us is an actual Trump rock holster who blows a lot of hot air and does a lot of overestimating.

If Democrats had the brains that god gave a garden slug, they would cede the Oval Office and concentrate all their efforts and all their funds on winning the House and keeping the Senate..

If low-information MAGAts had the "brains that God gave a garden slug," they have ten times the brains they regularly exhibit here in this comments section.
